How I work

A few habits I keep on every project.

These are the rules behind the case study above, and every engagement I'll add to this page. Boring when written down, useful when applied.

  1. Fixed scope, written down.

    Every engagement starts with a signed SOW naming what's in, what's out, how we'll handle change, and how we'll know when it's done. No one pays for work they didn't ask for.

  2. Pilot before full migration.

    On data and platform work, we migrate a small slice first, validate it together, and then do the rest. It adds a few days and prevents the class of problems that turn a clean migration into a bad one.

  3. One point of contact, each way.

    Your team designates one approver. On my side, you get me, from the first call to the last handoff. Decisions stay crisp and response times stay short.

  4. Candor about what's out of scope.

    I name my limits in writing. Payroll, benefits administration, legal compliance certification, high-voltage electrical, if it's not my lane, I say so and point you to someone whose lane it is.
